TRJFP Charitable Foundation 1160107 is the governing body of TRJFP CIC Ltd 10531029. TRJFP CIO is made up of a board of 3 independent and impartial trustees, whom are guardians of all TRJFP intellectual property and the PAYF concept. TRJFP CIC is the operational arm of TRJFP and has a separate board of directors, with founder Adam Smith as its CEO.
My connection with TRJFP started nearly three years ago when, inspired by its practical mission to make a difference, I began volunteering in the warehouse and in raising funds
and investment to support the work. I am delighted now to bring my skills to the Board of the CIO.
I’m a consultant who works with cultural organisations, artists and creative businesses to help them to see things differently and to transform what they do. I help people to build capacity, develop strategy and achieve their goals. I have over 30 years experience and regularly work with Boards, executive and staff teams to identify opportunities and issues, find solutions and shape new strategies. I’m an accredited mentor and facilitator and love working with people and groups, inspiring them to make and lead change.
I live in West Yorkshire with my husband and I have two grown up children. I love getting my walking shoes on and enjoying the Yorkshire countryside and the brilliant arts organisations on the doorstep.
I have over 10 years experience as a youth worker with a focus on youth empowerment and voice including leading a number of regional and national projects. I have recently moved more into the safeguarding field, still mainly with a focus on young people.
In terms of board experience, I sat on the UK Ultimate Frisbee board for 8 years as Director of Junior Ultimate. I look forward to working with The Real Junk Food to build solid foundations to then engage and educate all areas of society in the critical work of the project.
I am a campaign and communications professional with experience in local and national political campaigns. I am currently studying a part-time MSc at the University of Bath whilst also hosting a podcast (called Backchat) and have experience in research, media and communications, and campaigning.
